Animal Health Network

Animal health work reaches farmers through people.

Register free in about five minutes, and when a vaccination campaign, a surveillance programme or a research project needs trained people in your ward, we look here first.

A field officer records a service on a tablet beside a herder and his goats.

This is not a job offer.

Registering does not guarantee you work, payment or selection for any programme. It puts you on a list that programmes are matched against. If one comes up in your area that fits what you do, we contact you, and that may be next month or next year, depending on where funding lands.

No documents. No fees. Ever.

We do not ask for an ID card, a certificate or a licence number, and we never will. What you tell us about your profession is recorded as your own declaration. We do not verify credentials and will never describe you as verified or certified. Nobody at LivFaRT will ask you for money to join, to be selected or to be trained. If anybody does, it is not us.

Who this is for

If you work with livestock health, you belong here.

There is no hierarchy on this register. A community animal health worker who reaches forty households a week is as useful to a programme as anybody with a degree.

  • Veterinarians in government service, private practice, an institution or an NGO.
  • Veterinary paraprofessionals: animal health technicians, technologists and assistants.
  • Community animal health workers, who reach the flocks no clinic ever sees.
  • Livestock extension workers, state and federal, and programme field staff.
  • Agro-vet operators, where most farmers get their first advice.
  • Students of veterinary medicine, animal science and related courses.

How it works

Four steps, and you control the first three.

  1. 1

    Register

One page. Your name, phone number, email address and what you do are required.

  2. 2

    Confirm your number

Send one prefilled WhatsApp message, or click the link we email you. We only count people we can reach.

  3. 3

    Accept the orientation

Six short lines on what this is and what it is not. Accept them and you are a network member.

  4. 4

    We contact you

When a programme needs someone where you are. If you take part, you record your work on our field app, and that record is also how you are paid.

What we hold

Your name, number and email, and where you work.

  • No identity documents, certificates or registration numbers. There is nowhere in our system to put one.
  • We do not sell your information or share it with third parties.
  • If you take part in a programme, only what it needs is shared with the organisation running it.
  • Ask us to correct or delete your record at any time by writing to hello@livfart.com with your reference.

Livestock Farming & Rural Technology Ltd (RC 9891890) is the data controller. The full notice is on the registration form and in our privacy notice.

What you need

An Android phone helps. It is not a condition.

Our field app runs on ordinary Android phones and records offline, which is why most programmes ask for one. If you do not have one, register anyway: it tells us which programmes suit you, not whether you belong on the list.

For programmes

Need people on the ground?

For any state or LGA we can tell you how many people are registered, how many are confirmed members, and how many have recorded verified field work in the last ninety days. The third comes from our own delivery records and cannot be inflated by anybody, including us.
